About RF Microneedling
RF microneedling combines 2 popular skincare therapies—radiofrequency energy and microneedling—into a single option to tackle more conditions in less time. It might be a good fit for you if you’re in search of a minimally invasive, outpatient option for treating the following:

The RF microneedling tool is a handheld device with a number of very fine, short needles. These needles penetrate the skin at a precise depth—no more than a few millimeters. As they work, the needles also emit pulses of radiofrequency energy. While radiofrequency devices are often used to treat the outermost layers of skin, combining this technology with microneedling allows this powerful energy to reach the structural elements of skin, supporting collagen growth and improving tone.

Treatment with RF microneedling is done right here in our Pismo Beach office. We begin by preparing your skin. We may provide you with a topical numbing cream or local anesthetics to further enhance your comfort.
Once the anesthetic has taken effect, your provider moves the handpiece over your skin. The microneedles create micro-perforations in your skin and engage your body’s natural healing mechanisms. At the same time, radiofrequency energy reaches your deeper tissues for deep improvement and long-lasting results.
Recovery & Results
RF microneedling doesn’t typically require any prolonged downtime. It’s generally safe to return to your normal activities as soon as your appointment is over. However, be aware that your treated skin will likely appear red and inflamed for several days after the treatment. This is normal and will go away on its own.
It takes some time for your treated skin to begin developing enough collagen to create noticeable results. Expect to see a gradual improvement as the days and weeks progress, with full results appreciable within 6 to 8 weeks. Undergoing multiple treatments is normal, and 3 treatments, spaced about a month apart, are typical.
